A Very Cold Trade Market
Hellebuyck may be available. The Glacier Wings already have Ace Pype.

Sources close to absolutely no one report that Connor Hellebuyck identified the Glacier Wings as a possible trading partner should Winnipeg explore its options in goal.
There was only one problem: the Glacier Wings weren’t shopping.
The Commissioner reportedly informed Jets General Manager Kevin Cheveldayoff that Anchorage’s most appropriately named crease already belongs to the skilled—and genuinely named—Ace Pype.
The interest, it appears, was decidedly one-sided.
No Vacancy
“We appreciate Connor’s interest,” the Commissioner allegedly said. “But we’re not disrupting team chemistry simply because a three-time Vezina winner becomes available.”
Cheveldayoff is believed to have asked whether Winnipeg retaining salary and including a draft pick might change the answer.
The Commissioner declined to comment, although witnesses report hearing the phrase:
“How high a pick?”
For now, Hellebuyck remains a Jet, Pype remains a Glacier Wing—and one of Anchorage’s most secure goaltending situations remains completely undisturbed.
